First a negative contrib I think all names with "open" really sound nerdy and should be avoided. No "squeeze" or "Touch" because of related trade mark (or similarity. Staying away is just better.) I'm not against "slim", but I'm not sure it makes sense if player design is more fat than thin client (or even no client at all ) I think "DAC" is too restrictive, "Beat" evokes some sort of DJ/party gear, while I suppose the players will be more hifi-oriented ?
Using codenames and mkg names is a good idea, the risk being that the codename sticks And trying to be positive: With a list centered on some topic, we can be sure GEN1, GEN2 and many others can have a name. - I proposed (in the other thread) my -admittedly rather common- use of geographical places names '(wiki: list of musical festivals)' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_music_festivals): montreux, woodstock, - Here is another proposal: singing birds are mostly found in the Passerines order '(wiki: english list of birds common names)' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_birds_by_common_name). Kagu, Galah, Ruff Bobolink ??? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97975
