Agreed! I've wasted quite a few hours already trying to get a custom kernel running. Compiling, not a problem. But I can't boot anything other than their default kernel build. Of course, it doesn't help that I don't have a null modem cable or USB to DB9. Not being able to see the serial console is a case of having one hand tied behind your back. ;) I've posted on their forum. Hopefully someone will be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong. But having tried just about everything including 4 different ARM toolchains to build kernels, I'm a bit lost. >From an onboard audio perspective, just about anything is going to beat the default sgtl5000 audio implementation on the carrier board. Truly terrible! (Note for Triode. -a ::16: has to passed to squeezelite to get "clean" audio from the on-board line-out when accessing hw: directly. The device opens S24_LE but the output is distorted without forcing squeezelite to output 16 bit.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97881 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
