Try adding a leading zero.
i.e. if your public ip is 81.26.23.185, enter it as 081.026.023.185

That's what I thought I'd be able to do.. but I can't see anywhere in
the set-up process to enter my public IP address (i'm restricted to IP
addresses beginning with 1 and 2, and my IP begins with 8). I have,
however, got the DDNS and router sorted..
