Thanks - I appreciate the perspective. And Erland, I've read your
similar post on this topic a few times. The urgency is driven by the
fact that time is running out. Today the hardware still has value. In
the not too distant future when MySB.com goes dark or breaks, that value
goes way down. And therein lies the "urgency", although I don't think
that's really the correct word for it. After AndyG's recent post, I'm
beginning to fear that by not acting now (or soon,) I'm just denying the
inevitable -- and that ultimately I'll be left with 8 devices that don't
do what I need them to, and are of little value on ebay or elsewhere.

But enough on that - we can speculate endlessly on how much life is left
in this product line. It might be months or it might be years, no one
outside of Logitech really knows. What I'm really wondering is to hear
from people who have used the Sonos system, and what their thoughts are.
How does it stack up? I'm not a super advanced user, I just want to
listen to music ... I want Rhapsody, Pandora, and my relatively small
FLAC library to play. I expect gapless playback to work. And I need to
be able to create sync zones that play independent of one another. Is
there a gotcha I need to be aware of? Is the Sonos wireless bridge a
nightmare to work with? As I assess my pros and cons, I'm looking for
what is wrong with Sonos for the "average" user.
