Are you using 6.2? If so can I suggest you look at the "Network and Server Health" web page - accessed from the Help section of the
main page.
Once performance monitoring is turned on, it monitors the performance of the server and network connection in the background. Play
some music to allow it to collect data and then look at the graphs.
If the "Response time" graph shows occasional long responses times then your problem may be due to this. Otherwise I would suspect
a network problem.
Post the graphs here if you want a diagnosis of what they are saying.
But this happens even wihtout using a web interface, and with no other
applications running. Are their any plug-ins I need to watch for if
the only thing running is the Slimserver?
