You can also use "service squeezeboxserver restart" . On windows/mac there is a controll panel .
If a plugin has updated itself and you see the text on the left Bolton ofmthe home page . Click that and you get to the plugin page in settings and there it is a popup in the web-UI that lets you restart , works for me every time .
