We've discuss the screen issue a bit. There are multiple options for a screen which work with the hdmi output - I am currently developing using with a 16:9 21" lcd monitor which is probably the lowest cost one off solution and is not that big for a listening room scenario. Smaller displays and monitors are available but the cost goes up and resolution goes down as you move towards point of sales type displays or camera monitors. Nethertheless there are several options for HDMI inputs to smaller monitors which will work. Direct LCD from the player hardware will be cheaper for the panel, but the cost different is then going to be absorbed in whatever case you need to specially build.
