Using the recent apps button is just the same number of presses and for me at least I find the notification in SC a pain sometimes as the only way to properly quit is to go back to the app and then back out with at least 2 presses of the back button.
If however the notification was to include proper ICS and JB controls like Google music does then yes count me in.
