It might also be a dead display. The display seems to especially susceptible to being dropped. This happened to mine. The Toslink was lighted and the power supply was good, but without a display, hard to tell if working and also hard to use. But, it can be rescued with the Net::UDP tool that you can find on this forum. It's command line and you have to be patient to work through it. I rescued my SB3 and it works just fine as a "blind" player.
