There is one issue with the player restarting immediately after you leave the App if you stop it right before leaving iPeng in which case it will not work when you return (but then it's out of control, not gone). This has also only been around with the very latest 2 versions (since 2.0.11). Apart from that I'm tempted to say I believe the problem will be with your setup (primarily networking and/or server), I'm not aware of any other issues with iPeng's playback. > > - am I right in saying there is no Android combo app (player + remote > control)? > Yes. > > If this is correct then I guess I need two separate apps: > - Is SqueezePlayer the only alternative or are their other, better > ones? > There is also SBPlayer. I can't judge on "better", I rarely ever use the players on Android but I've never had any issues with SqueezePlayer, what part of it needs to be "better" for you? > > - What's the best remote control app? That's a question of personal preference. SqueezeCommander is the most feature complete one but didn't see any development for over a year and OrangeSqueeze keeps catching up. If you are familiar with iPeng's UI before the redesign, SqueezeCommander will look familiar although I often get confused by the different arrangement of the buttons on the menu bar. OrangeSqueeze has a more Android-like UI and probably looks more modern although it also sometimes confuses me, but then I don't use Android enough to be really familiar with it's UI conventions. OrangeSqueeze also has some integration with OrangeSqueeze (you can start the player from the App). There is also SqueezeControl and a few other Apps. I believe SqueezeControl has some integration with SBPlayer, the Apps are from the same author. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98870 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
