I have had the same problem with WOL in SC and samsung galaxy S since I upgraded android version from 2.2.1 to 4.2.2. I have also an old device with android 2.2.1 and SC has no problem with WOL. So it's clearly a bug with SC and the new android. I have Orange Squeeze application and it has no problem with WOL on old or new version of android. But Orange Squeeze has another nice bug.
