Hi Im using your excellent app together with the Triode Plugin and Orange Squeeze without any problem over Wifi. The problem Im struggling with is buffering issues over 3G/4G. It works fine with radio stations and local music but with Spotify (Premium) SqueezePlayer buffers to 50% and then plays while the buffers quickly drains. Then the same thing happens (constantly buffering-play-buffering...). My conclusion is that Triode plugin output format (FLAC or PCM via sflc) causes the problem. Trying to bitrate was nu success through LMS web interface. And after much research my understanding is that Triodes plugin DOES NOT use this feature. Perhaps bitrate limiting or MP3 transcoding can be done through convert.conf, custom-convert.conf or some conversion from sflc?? but I have not been successfull. Logs show streaming that does not reach 44.1k.
Perhaps a question more for Triode (hope he reads) but inside the ProtocolHandler.pm there is a referens to main::transcode. Does this refer to transcodingin within the slimserver pearl enviroment?? Can this somehow be used to force a transcoding? By the way I connect to my squeezboxserver (Excito B3) through a Strongswan VPN which works fine. Allthough Im not totally lost when it comes to computers Im way over my head with this and any help would be much appreciated.
