I had meant to search out the date of the last update but never got round to it. Didn't realise it was that long ago.
To the best of my recollection, I had WOL working with a Samsung Galaxy WiFi S & SBS 7.6 this time last year. The Samsung was running Gingerbread (I think 2.3.5). I then replaced it with a Galaxy Note phone & at around the same time, switched the server to 24/7 operation. It was when I updated the server to 7.8 & switched back to sleep in August that I discovered that WOL no longer worked. I assumed that this was due to the Note running Jellybean but couldn't find any reference to anyone else having problems. Next test was to install SC on a phone running Gingerbread 2.3.5 but WOL still didn't work. Final test was to install MS Network Monitor to see what was actually going on. I could see the magic packet being generated by the Touch when it was brought out of standby but there was no sign of it being generated from SC. But I don't get an error message, SC simply fails to connect to the server. I have seen Java errors before but I think it's been when the server box is up but SBS/LMS is not running. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ rbz5416's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12089 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69352 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
