I have the 4TB My Cloud and the app is on my Galaxy S3. I can play flac
files remotely, but I got a warning of going over my data limits. On my
Wifi netowrk, I have no problems streaming flac file to my phone.

The music player app on my phone also see the My Cloud as a nearby
device, so I can stream music that way too. The bad thing is it lumps
all the songs as if they are in one folder, instead of each album being
it's own folder.
