Lots of good reasons not to like Monster, from their overpriced crap products to their legal bullying of smaller outfits like Blue Jeans Cable. Before I ever heard Beats headphones I didn't like them because of the Monster association -- testing a pair out only transformed that prejudice into an empirically-based negative opinion. (No, I didn't do a double-blind listening test.)
Anyway, Beats is no longer Monster Brand, and I've gotta give kudos to Beats for the way they ate Monster's lunch.
