I have looked for devices that add airplay to an existing hifi and this is one of just a few. there are a couple of similar things made by hifi manufacturers eg onkyo ds something at 5 times the price, apple tv or airport, or a raspberry pi with usb dac or add on card but thats about it this is much cheaper than even the Pi
