Which hardware? I would guess that the SliMP3 and non-G SB1s do fake quotes/apostrophe as well as any other fixed font computer gear. The SB1/g and 2s and 3s are bit mapped, they can do it when proper character to glyph mapping software. Just like any other Unicode characters. Its really a software question for the recent Squeezeboxen.
