I have a pair of Xeo 3 connected to a SB receiver. I can confirm it works very well and the Xeo3 quality is really great but, as you say - they are awfully expensive (was even much more than that when I bought them, 2 years ago). I don't miss the small equalizer control, to be honest I like the Xeo 3 just the way they are, but different people might have different opinion ;-)
