I have an old SB1 with a dying wireless card. When connected by a wired
connection it runs fine, but if I try wireless it works about 30% of the
time. When it doesn't work it enters a reboot loop trying to configure
wireless and connect to the server.

I opened up the box and found a non-branded PCMCIA wireless card.
Searching the forums I seen posts from ~2006 in which folks talk of
upgrading from the 802.11b-only wireless to the faster 802.11g protocol.
In those discussions -- in which it is concluded that 802.11g isn't
supported -- I read attributes of the wireless card:
- 802.11 b
- Atheros chipset
- 16-bit, non-Cardbus PCMCIA form factor

I have gone searching on eBay and other sites for such a card, and I
cannot find one. If you have successfully replaced an ailing SB1
wireless card with a working one, which card did you use? I am not
looking to 'upgrade', but simply get a compatible card that will again
make my SB1 useful on wireless.
