no. nothing wrong. With most modern DACs, cheap to very expensive, the likelihood of hearing a difference between those and the internal DAC on an SB3 is very, very low. Don't fall down the rabbit hole of thinking that DACs can provide some sort of night and day, "lifting the veil" experience you might expect if you are reading too many audiophool websites. ;) p.s. And at least you're recognizing that there is no difference without even a double blind test. Many "convince" themselves that they hear something different (always better by the way!) with their new DAC. When subjected to a double blind test, these differences often fall apart. *Location 1:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > Squeezelite *Spares:* several Touch, Radio, SB3 *Controllers:* iPhone4S & iPad2 (iPeng7 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102247 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
