Yes, the 'now playing' window should work fine no matter what platform the server's running. Moose uses the CLI (usually port 9090) to talk to the server, so as long as that's not blocked it should be fine. The only slight problem area is the 'library window' which needs to access the actual files to populate its own database for super-fast searching and track selection. Works ok with network shortcuts, and people have got it working with linux servers. Anyhow, might be worth waiting a bit as I'm hoping to do a new release later today.. The whole application's been changed round somewhat and the newly re-designed 'now playing' window is now the main focus rather than the selection library. There's a shot of the new window here: http://www.rusticrhino.com/drlovegrove/nowplayingnew.jpg It's basically there - I'm just ironing out a couple of minor redraw issues and want to test it on a few server builds before popping it up. I'll post a message when it's done.. -- - Dr Lovegrove http://www.rusticrhino.com/drlovegrove _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
