I think your sub-set of potential customers will be so small it will not be sustainable. One (specialized) music genre, attract those that want to "buy" (not subscribe), purchases would be infrequent. I also think you have no idea how much time and money it will take to market the service, attract and maintain relationships with numerous record labels, maintain licensing agreements, server issues and maintenance, etc....
I just use existing services, pick a genre, then select the "mix" menu item (which then randomly plays artists/bands within that genre).
