For the last few releases of Orange Squeeze I've been experiencing some strange behaviour on my Xperia SP phone (Android 4.3) and to a lesser extent my Xperia Tablet Z (4.4.4):
Basically, when I kick off the app via the widget, it can often stay on a black/blank screen. Then when it finally connects I get a series of notifications from the app that '<Squeezebox X> is now the active player'. Could be anything from a couple up to double digit times. For each of the notifications I have to hit the back arrow to go back to the main screen (or of course hit the home icon). Launching from the actual icon gives better results, usually fewer or sometimes no messages. I think it's actually made my phone a little bit more unstable.
