That's just really, really sad, but very true. 
Makes me lose my faith in humanity though.

People seem to especially think this way for cars 
and that just gets really expensive.  Very sad.

Then again, I'm one of those engineer-types "who 
cares what it looks like as long as it works", 
function-over-form people.  It's just totally 
against my philosophy.
