Thanks for confirming it's the double quote that's causing the problem,
Michael.  I'll have to decide where to go from here.  My playlists are
used on two different servers (LMS and SubSonic) and I don't think I'm
willing to go through all my tracks deleting the double quotes when it
does in fact work well with SubSonic. 

Do you think changing the playlist format would work without deleting
the double quotes?  Both servers accept M3U as well as PLS.
