I looked at the Rocki but the poor reviews really put me off. Also, the lack of services and the fact that multi room streaming was still in beta months after launch led me to not trust the startup that much. Hopefully with Google's resources they can nail multi-room sync (which we know is not easy) and this will really be a low cost alternative or partner with our beloved squeezebox. One cause for concern is what looks like a lack of FLAC: https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media but maybe this for the old Chromecast? It is still early days but I am hopeful and excited to not have to shell out the big bucks for Sonos.
