Success!

After fixing the line endings, all works. I can play local m4a files (as
I could before) and I can now play the "Sound Opinions" podcast stream.
Thanks bpa for the detailed help and on this.

p.s. I'm curious about the fact that my "file types" now shows "ffmpeg"
or "ffmpeg/lame" for mpeg-4 file types and previously showed "faad" or
"faad/lame" for mpeg-4. Does this mean that my local m4a files are now
converted using ffmpeg rather than faad? And what does that actually
mean? Is one better than the other? the same?

Thanks again. And I learned something along the way about linux file
format.
