Understandable confusion, considering the Concorde was developed by
AĆ©rospatiale and British Aircraft Corporation (BAC). BAC was the
(government-forced) merger of Bristol Aeroplane Company, English
Electric, Hunting and Vickers-Armstrong. Before the merger, Bristol had
formed a car division that went independent and ended up using Chrysler
engines in their cars. 

How is that for a contorted connection? :)
