so, i have a cheap, and relatively easy workaround until this is properly sorted out: Chromecast Audio. i installed the chrome extension, connected the chromecast optical output to the optical in on my Transporter, selected the input, then opened SXM in a tab, and cast it to the device. works like a charm.
