Do a factory reset of the Airport - instructions should tell you how -
and you will be back as you were.

The Airport network range could still clash with your network and while
it is a trivial change required it is very difficult to give correct
advice when blind.

The tutorial you followed made sense but only if you replaced the
192.168.0.x example with 192.168.1.x to match your router. Unfortunately
that change isn't easy as other changes would also be required elsewhere
in the Airport's configuration.

Do you recall if the Airport did say 192.168.0.x?
