There is a connection from the audio-out to the amplifier in the utility room. The speakers are in the kitchen and I use an IR extender to control the amplifier. This has worked well for a long time, the downside is having to connect back from the Squeezebox to the amplifier. Maybe Slimdevices could make a two-part Squeezebox with a removeable display, with built-in IR extender, which could be placed seperately from the main unit?
