The issue is more to do with MP4 than using ffmpeg.
The ffmpeg conf file is setup to jump to a start point if LMS tell it
(i.e. T:{START=-ss %s} ) but for MP4 to be streamed they need to be set
up special (IIRC include timing jump points) and not just as an MP4
file to be downloaded like most podcast. It would some test to check if
the podcasts are setup as plain files or as files suitable for
streaming.
