I've got a couple of Squeezebox Touch boxes, one connected via cat5 LAN, the other wirelessly. They have generally worked well over the years, however they seem to have got less reliable recently. Both players can still access and play local flac files on my NAS, but radio stations are not working well, and Spotify (with the Triode helper app) has stopped working completely.
mysqueezebox.com account is active and can see both players. I can create radio "favourites" but the players have been showing occasional connection errors to mysqueezebox.com. The local wireless network is as stable as they can be; anyway the symptom also appears on the cat5 connected plater too. When connected to the NAS, the radio options disappear from the main menu; it now seems to work "either radio / or local content". Switching between them seems to be a bit of a black art, and I can't recall exactly what made the radio settings work (apart from I needed to put favourites links into mysqueezebox.com). I've tried setting both players back to factory default and reconfiguring them. Same result. I've kept them *not* synchronised at the moment as that seems to be asking for trouble. The situation has got frustrating. I was wondering whether anyone else has seen similar. I believe the Spotify problem is caused by support for their legacy API being discontinued, and maybe that's gone forever? NAS: QNAP TS219, running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.0 - 1395409907 Players: (as reported via the media server :9001 user interface) Firmware: 7.8.0-r16754 I do have a couple of Raspberry Pis spare, and am able to find my way around Linux command-line, in case the answer lies there! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tuck1s's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67484 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108178 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
