You can easily create the same this sensation by getting a Google Home device - spend hours of fiddling with atrocious software on a smartphone to set it up, discover that most 'features' don't work as advertised, go the laughably named Help Forum where nobody has any idea why stuff doesn't work, encounter a flood of post headed vatiously as 'Help'/'Why'/'Doesn't work', etc.. The Home mini is actually a nice low-cost device let down by awful software and non-existent support.
