The 60W adapter is because its 60W potential output - for the AMP2

If you look carefully at the specs it tells you what it'll do per
adapter used. They're not marketing it like the common audiophile
prefers.

I've already tried with a small UK mini amp supplier. And this was not
satisfactory so I returned it. 

I'm going to have a stab at it with a 24V adapter and see how it fares.
I'll report back below.
