I watched a revealing video by a music producer Rick Beato ('How the
Computer Ruined Rock Music'
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFaRIW-wZlw) ) where he shows how since
2000 music has not only undergone compression (Loudness Wars) but also
"quantization" where by through software musicians instruments are made
to match the beat of the music exactly, like a machine. Beato says this
has destroyed most modern music except some indie music.
