I have two Booms and love them.
They both suffer from the same power connection problem however, or at least until now. Short of taking them completely apart, I have tried all the suggested solutions (power supply, cleaning,replacing connector etc) but I still had the problem of the radios cutting out when I jiggled the power cable. OK, this may sound obvious, but it worked with both my radios. The "trick" is to insert the power cable at the back FULLY, and then gently pull the connect out very slightly and very slowly until you get a good solid connection. As I said, it works for me.
