A belated update to this.
I did a lot of headbanging, then gave up, for months. Then, this week, my son identified the problem - and I fixed it. The SB Radio in question was signed in to a different My SB account to all the other players. No idea why - I don't recall setting up another account. But once I signed it in to my actual account (and ensured the streaming was set to MP3 only), it worked like a charm. Tidal on all SB clients. Now if only he would stop using it to play Soundcloud rap...
