I had this problem when I tried to use two WAPs in Bridging Mode; not only
with the SBs but also with laptops - they would continually be connecting
and disconnecting between them and losing signal strength.

I reconfigured it as two separate WAPs with separate SSIDs and separate
Channels - now it all works fine. The SBs connect satisfactorily to the
nearest WAP, and the laptops will (usually) connect to the strongest signal
as you move throughout the house - sometimes they need a nudge.
