Thanks Michael! That was the perfect hint. I did add these lines to
custom-convert.conf:

Without these lines Tidal 1.2 does work as intended :cool:
The intention for this is a workaround to reencode flac files that have
a to high compression and do cause stuttering on slow devices like the
squeezeboxes I use.

Seems I'll need to find another workaround that works in all cases
