As slartibartfast says - alarms are special. Some interaction at the controls can be interpreted as "alarm cancel". As a result of complaints of alarm users sleeping in when internet radio stream broke down,- interruptions from the playing side will be reattempted first (so sometime a very quick cancel does not work as stream is reconnected ) - otherwise there may be fall back to a guaranteed audio source.
