Copying it locally makes the scanning window that pops up stay for a
little longer, but then it vanishes (without really drawing the window
properly, so you can't see what's in it).

Opening the file with a hex editor reveals 'SQLite format 3' as the
first line, so I guess it's SQLite still.

The log just reports:
