I use an old iPhone and a PAYG Data sim. It has Spotify (some downloaded) but for internet radio I tend to use the TuneIn app. Radio Paradise at low bitrate is available through TuneIn as is BBC Radio (if not abroad).
It also has VPN and iPeng with player for when on WiFi which of course has everything. I use it with Bose noise cancelling headphones when travelling but with an Audioquest Dragonfly and wired headphones for serious listening. Ive also got a small but surprisingly decent Bluetooth speaker that I sometimes take along.
