* Wifi signal display is not really standardised - a good signal on one device does not means the same on another device. * Wifi signal has two attributes - strength & quality and the wifi signal display may be showing one attribute or some sort of combined. * Strength means literally how strong the signal -so close by a source, signal will be strong. * Quality means how usable the signal is - if your device is one channel and next door neighbour is on same channel then signal will be strong but quality will be bad because of interference. Interference cam come from many sources not just other wifis.
