It doesn't display metadata, it displays as top picture below, but I just use the Echo's slide show (second picture), and use Material skin on my old phone. I can start a web browser on the Show to use Material skin, but that just cuts off bluetooth, don't know why, I've never pursued the problem. (bottom picture). The Echo Show 8 doesn't have aux in, so I don't know if you could run a browser/Material skin at the same time.
