When the SB2 came out, it was also £180, it is only cheaper now because it is at the end of its lifespan.
In a similar way the Netgear MP101 was over £100 new, dropped to £70 within 6 months and now is available for £50, same hardware, but once a product is discontiuned, prices drop and that is what you are seeing with the SB2. Same thing with the X-Box at the moment. In a year or two, the SB3 will probably drop in price in the same way, but as demand is outstripping supply at the moment you pay rrp.
