Hi all. This one is a real head-scratcher.
I recently put all the Bayerischer Rundfunk HLS streams in my Favourites on LMS. I chose the HLS streams because they are better quality than the 'standard' MP3 streams; for example BR Klassik streams at 192 kb/s AAC. However, I noticed recently that they were not playing the same as when played on the computer, either directly from the BR website, or via the urls copied & pasted into VLC. The LMS version was going to the news at the top of the hour, and I have just listened to the stream of Bayern 2, to see what time was announced. At 8 pm GMT/9 pm CET the announcement 'sechzehn uhr' came up, which equates to 4 pm CET/3 pm BST. So for some bizarre reason the streams as played via LMS are some 6 hours behind the same streams played via the omputer. As an example, could people try this stream on their Squeezebox devices please?: https://mcdn.hf.br.de/br/hf/b2sued/master.m3u8 This is the Bayern 2 Süd webstream. The exact same stream played via LMS and the computer shows that through LMS it is timeshifted by -6 hours. Does anyone else get the same result? Thanks. If anyone can explain what is going on I'd love to know.
