I don't know if you're still interested, but I have a Pi3B + HiFiBerry DAC (RCA out) + Black metal case + Raspberry Pi 5v/2.5amp PSU + SD card with piCorePlayer installed, doing nothing. Just connect ethernet cable and power up, it appears as a player in LMS. Great sound.
