The WiFi adaptor's MAC address is set to the pre-programmed Ethernet adaptor MAC address when WiFi is started. Only one of the interfaces is ever expected to be in use at a time. And I guess the average AP/Router would only ever have to keep one DHCP record, which might be helpful... And perhaps saved a few bob, because only one MAC address needed to be "bought". pseud wrote: > It's probably unrelated - but, I am confused why 'ifconfig' shows > 'eth1' when sbr-l is on wifi? Simply because SqueezeOS chooses to call the Ethernet adaptor -eth0- and the WiFi adaptor -eth1-. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115872 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
