I have factory reset the device and now I have a 'Now Playing' menu item on my home screen whilst using the Large Text Skin. I think there must be some sort of bug caused perhaps by the fact there are actually two different items called 'Now Playing' that can exist on the home screen. I say this as at one point I had two such named items and I think that what may have caused the problem was that I removed one (the wrong one obviously!).
